Hannah- the dog we buried belonged to my son. Actually, that’s not right, he belonged to his dog. As we do with beloved furry companions.We buried him ( the dog) back in November, one dark evening. And miss him still. Our golden retriever, Vaila, is thankfully still with us.
Thankyou Colleen. The comic was drawn for my son to commemorate the night we consigned his beloved dog to the Earth. It helped me process the sadness of watching his grief and being unable to alleviate it or really do much more than empathise and grieve alongside.

I have to ask - how's your hip? I'm presuming you're the second limper? That's been going on a depressingly long time. Is anyone in the world of medics and pills and potions offering any help?

In that case I’m sorry for your son’s dog, he must miss him terribly. And I’m glad Vaila is still well!

Hope Stromness is as sunny as it is here. Hip still sore. Yoga does help but full recovery is a long and boring process.
