I resonate with what you wrote about that 'anti-climax' feeling. It realy makes me wonder, how do we redefine what 'finished' means for ourselves, especially after pouring so much into a creative project? Your description of the river and the otter is just so incredibly vivid and beautiful. Such a gift to find that calm.
Dr. Purr is beautiful and will hopefully make so many children smile in delight! Congrats on finishing the THING, the big thing that is whatever faces each of us.
I'm cheering for you Debi, congratulations and I can't wait to buy the book!
I can't read music (I only play by ear) but looking at the shape, I am wondering about 'Sleep Soond in Da Moarnin'? (which I hope you will be doing now the deadline is done). Hope we can play some tunes together soon.
I made the same pre-rolled icing mistake - never again, it's FILTH!
Er no- not sleep soond in da mornin’. You’ll have to ask a friend! And ALAS my sleep button is buggared. I wake early in da mornin’ much to my disgust.
Congratulations on finishing the wondrous Dr Cat! I'm counting the days until I can seize a copy from the bookshop shelves... is there a pub date yet?
Also, commiserations on the heap of STUFF TO BE DONE. I'd recommend an every other day approach*. The in between days can be filled with otter spotting, knitting (and unknitting) and contemplation of little pots of yellow lemon deliciousness...
Sending much love, and can we make a coffee date in Feb, please?
❤️❤️❤️
*or two days on, one day off.
It works! Well, it did for the exactly one week I managed to fight off the guilt and manage it. After seven days I started dreaming of dust bunnies chasing me down the road, and had to give up.

Congratulations Debi!
Thankyou! It’s been what feels like aeons…

Thankyou! Of course the big THING is promptly replaced by several other lesser things but for now, I’ll allow for a short period of earned indolence.

Thankyou Jane!

Hint: it’s originally a pipe tune.
oh so tantalising! Will have to get help on this one...
Woooohoooo!!! My most fave Saturday read!

Thankyou! Dr Purr goes to her London adoptive parents today ( along with me) but I can never remember pub dates. Numbers? Who they?
Coffee would be grand. And knitting. And a catch up xxx
